Abstract

This paper discloses the role of the objectives of Islamic law in protecting human rights through the ages. The texts of the Qur'an and Prophetic Sunnah highly considered the importance of human

rights.

The study is composed of introduction and preamble, four sections and conclusion. The first section is concerned with general introduction of the objectives and human rights, the second section deals with religious objectives; and the third section is concerned with human objectives. The major concern of the fourth and last section is financial objectives and their impact in consideration of human rights.
