Makala hii imelenga kuchunguza viashiria vya matatizo ya afya ya akili katika maisha ya ndoa kupitia riwaya Mungu Hakopeshwi na Penzi la Damu. Data za makala hii zimekusanywa maktabani kwa kutumia mbinu ya uchanganuzi matini kwa mkabala wa kimaelezo. Kothar (2004) anaeleza kuwa mkabala wa kimaelezo ni mbinu inayotumika kuchambua data kwa njia ya maelezo katika ukusanyaji na uchambuzi wa data.
Sampuli iliyotumika katika makala hii ni riwaya Mungu Hakopeshwi na Penzi la Damu. Utafiti huu umeongozwa na Nadharia ya Saiko-Changanuzi, hasa kupitia msingi wake wa ID (nafsi ya matamanio), ambao unazungumzia hali ya unyama, ushari na ashiki dhidi ya dhamiri.
